This exhibition is an assembly of moments, encounters with situations and actions that happen out of step with one another. It is the result of what chance makes possible: it is built around a play of language and chance. Its axis is not a theme but an object —a deck of cards. A structure with the finish line up high reveals the course of Estefanía’s decisions. The movement of her body is the starting point for every idea. Awareness of her own axis in space leads her to trace a route along which to move. A garden of petrified animals —toads, turtles and fireflies— in which Daniel sets up a game of reading and narration: the pretext for creating an ecosystem where nature is formed out of industrial elements. A rosary that changes shape to become a plane, each mystery held, found and kept by David. Four pieces that guide the silent reading of two elements. A set of suspended pieces: the play of repetition and suspension of objects is an invention that confronts scale. Archaeological explorations, fossil finds or reinterpretations of them, the trace, the negatives or silhouettes of objects, are the clues for approaching the cartography through which Sofía moves. This exhibition would need only to find a curious eye drawn in by a web of coincidences. An observer amid so much attentive distraction.
